At Dogominium Luxury Doghouses and Designer Kennels (owned by Giles Gems Publishing, LLC), ("Company", "we", "our", "us") we stand behind the quality of our products. This policy explains when and how returns and refunds are accepted for purchases made through Dogominium Luxury Doghouses and Designer Kennels.
Summary
Many of the products we sell are custom orders. Custom orders are not eligible for return or refund. If you have questions on your custom orders, please reach out to us at 1-208-643-7930 or support@dogominium.com prior to placing your order.
At Dogominium, we only work with manufacturers who meet our high-quality standards. However, some of our vendors have return policies that are more restrictive than our general store policy. In these cases, the specific requirements will be provided directly on the product page. Please be sure to check the 'Returns' section on each page for details.
For orders that are not custom orders or do not have a more restrictive return policy, the following policy applies.
- Region: United States lower 48 states
- Return window: 14 days total, but damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery
- Return eligibility: Accepts returns for both defective and non-defective products if they meet policy conditions. Note - certain products are NOT eligible for return and specified on the product page.
- Return shipping: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or damaged on arrival.
- Restocking fee: 30% of the product price for approved returns

3. Eligibility for Returns
Returns are accepted under the following conditions:
- The item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect
- The customer wishes to return a new item within the policy window
- The damage or issue was reported within 48 hours of delivery
- The product is returned within 14 days of delivery
- The item is unused and includes all original packaging and accessories
Items must be in new condition. Used or installed products cannot be returned unless defective upon arrival.
4. Reporting Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Include:
- Your order number
- Photos clearly showing the damage or issue
- A brief description of the problem
We will review the information and, if approved, provide instructions and a prepaid return label.
5. Return Shipping and Fees
Approved returns include a prepaid shipping label. Please use the provided label and ship the item within 7 days after approval.
Restocking Fee: All returned items are subject to a 30% restocking fee based on the product price. This amount will be deducted from your refund total. Exchanges for the same item will not incur a restocking fee.
If you send an item back without using the provided label, we may not reimburse you for shipping costs.
6. Refunds and Replacements
- After receiving and inspecting your returned item, we will confirm whether a refund or replacement applies
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 business days after approval
- If you prefer, we can send a replacement item instead of a refund
7. Exchanges
We accept exchanges for both defective and non-defective products as long as they meet the return conditions. Replacement items are shipped once the returned item is received and approved.
8. Non-Returnable Items
We cannot accept returns for:
- Items reported after 48 hours of delivery
- Items damaged due to misuse or neglect
- Personalized, custom-made, or perishable goods
- Gift cards and downloadable digital items
9. Cancellations
- Orders may be canceled before shipment for a full refund
- Custom orders can not be cancelled as the item is custom made per your specifications
- Once shipped, cancellations are not possible. You must follow the return process outlined above.
10. Warranty
All products sold by Dogominium include a standard limited warranty that covers:
- Defects in materials
- Defects in workmanship
- Structural failures not caused by misuse or environmental damage
This general warranty applies only to the original purchaser and only to products purchased directly from Dogominium.com.
Coverage begins on the date of delivery.
Many of our products — including architectural doghouses, insulated kennel systems, grooming equipment, and wellness devices — are backed by manufacturer‑specific warranties.
Manufacturer warranties always override and supersede this general warranty.
If a manufacturer offers:
- A longer warranty period
- More detailed coverage
- Specific exclusions
- A dedicated claim process
…then their warranty terms take precedence.
We will always direct you to the correct manufacturer warranty so you receive the highest level of coverage available.
What Is Not Covered
The general Dogominium warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Cosmetic changes (fading, staining, minor scratches)
- Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, neglect, or accidents
- Damage from weather events, natural disasters, or environmental exposure beyond normal conditions
- Modifications or alterations made after delivery
- Damage caused by pets chewing, scratching, or destructive behavior
- Commercial use unless the product is specifically rated for it
Manufacturer warranties may include additional exclusions.
How to Submit a Warranty Claim
To initiate a warranty claim, please contact Dogominium Customer Support with:
- Your order number
- Photos or videos of the issue
- A description of the problem
- The date the issue was first noticed
We will review your claim and determine whether it falls under:
- Dogominium’s general warranty, or
- A manufacturer‑specific warranty (in which case we will connect you directly with the manufacturer’s warranty team)
Our goal is to ensure a smooth, transparent, and timely resolution.
Resolution Options
Depending on the product and the warranty terms, approved claims may result in:
- Replacement parts
- Product repair
- Full product replacement
- Store credit (when applicable)
- Manufacturer‑direct remedies
Resolution timelines vary by manufacturer and product type.
Your Responsibility
To maintain warranty eligibility, customers must:
- Follow all installation, care, and maintenance instructions
- Use the product only as intended
- Report issues promptly
- Avoid unauthorized modifications or repairs
11. Legal Rights
This policy does not affect your rights under U.S. consumer protection law.
